Affie Plaas Farm Stall and the Soete Inval Restaurant

You can hardly miss the Affie Plaas Farm Stall, just west of Robertson on the R62, with the wonderful straw bale figures as signs.

The cute characters made out of circular hay bales lure you to this treasure trove.

Once you have been lured in, the love and attention lavished on to this establishment by the owners, is inescapable. 30 years of expert retailing make a visit a unique experience.

From freshly baked pies, cakes, melktert, syrupy koeksisters to dried fruit of all types, fresh produce like mielies, peaches, nectarines …

and that’s before you consider the range of wines, jams, pickles and preserves!

It is no wonder that trade was brisk. It is very easy to spend an hour or more absorbed in the range on the shelves.

Stock up here for padkos or if you a feeling hungry, have a meal at the Soete Inval Restaurant. The freshest ingredients from the Robertson Valley are served in a range of hearty, tasty meals. Sunday lunch is often accompanied by live music.

Opening times: Sun-Fri 8am-5pm. Tel +27 23 6264567

    1. Hi Esther,
Apologies for the late reply. Unfortunately, I am unable to answer all your questions. They are still open; the best thing is to give them a call.
