Hotelier and venue owner Bernice Morrell loves to go all out at Christmas.
“The weather is glorious so the best place to create a gorgeous setting is outdoors,” she says.
In keeping with the French style she’s known for, she chose a French linen cloth and napkins with red detailing and combined this with pewter under plates and candelabra and red glassware.
Then she went to town with abundant flower arrangements and bowls of fruit. “Adding to the colour and festivity are barrels of apples (you can cheat and fill up the bottom with polystyrene chips or newspaper). They don’t cost a lot and you can eat them or bottle them after the party.”
