Allesverloren Wine Estate is the oldest wine estate in the Swartland situated between Riebeek Kasteel and Riebeek West and not far from Malmesbury. The vineyards are planted on the slopes of Kasteelberg Mountains in soils that promote very healthy vine growth. This, combined with the cold wet winters and dry summers produce deeply coloured and powerfully fruity red wines
The farm has a long history going way back to the early seventeen hundreds when the widow Cloete ventured from Cape town to settle in the, at the time, inhospitable Swartland region. The first wines were produced in 1806 and in 1872 the Malan family bought the estate.
The estate is now owned by the 5th generation Danie Malan who has continued the long tradition of producing quality award winning red wines – Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tinta Berocca, Touriga Nacional and Fine Old Vintage.
The picturesque estate is a perfect wedding venue and it is fully equipped for conferences and functions and a hearty meal can be enjoyed at the Pleasant Pheasant Restaurant. Wine tasting is free for groups of less than 10 at the following times:
