Prepare to have your mind blown as Brent Le Riche, the master of extreme sports, returns to the Monster Energy Programme from 7 to 9 July. The Ballito Pro Skate Jam, organized by Old School Productions, is pulling out all the stops to bring you an electrifying lineup of professional skaters and mind-blowing brand activations. This year, the contest is set to reach new heights with South Africa’s top talent showcasing their skills and taking the competition to a whole new level.

Hold your breath as world-class skater Damian Bramley, a Northern Cape prodigy and a hopeful for the 2024 Olympics, graces the bowl. Joining him is the awe-inspiring Thalente Biyela, who went from the streets of Durban Beach Park to becoming a professional skateboarder in Cape Town, capturing his incredible journey in the acclaimed documentary, I am Thalente, featuring skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. And that’s not all! The Ballito Pro Skate Jam will feature Khule ‘the coolest kid in Durban’ Ngubane, the reigning champion Kalvyn Mac Millan, defending U16 champion Ezra Vosloo, and the unstoppable Jamie De Villiers. This is not just a skateboarding contest; it’s a full-on festival complete with food trucks, music, giveaways, and the exhilarating Monster Energy Truck.

Le Riche, one of South Africa’s most accomplished riders, knows how to thrill a crowd and will leave you wanting more.

Now, let’s talk about the 2023 Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neill Festival itself. This legendary surfing contest has been running for ages, and this year it’s bringing you the ultimate entertainment experience from 27 June to 9 July. With a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and growth under the theme Konke KuLuhlaza – Everything is Blue, this festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. In addition to the mind-blowing action on the waves, visitors can indulge in retail therapy, invigorate their bodies with free beach Yoga and Pilates sessions, enjoy daily beach sports and recreational activities, dance their hearts out with Jive with Jen, and let their kids have a blast with face painting and fun games.
