The 35000ha Balule Private Game Reserve is part of the extended Kruger National Park, and, like many of the reserves in the area, is the result of the conservation initiative of several private land-owners who joined forces…and dropped fences – between their own game farms and Kruger.
Since Balule has no borders with Kruger, animals are free to move and migrate in and out of the original Kruger Park area, and the reserve offers Big 5 safaris to guests of its camps and lodges.
Balule offers a number of ‘safari packages’ and ‘bush getaways’ – tailor-made to highlight a particular safari experience and inclusive of particular accommodations. These include affordable safaris, romantic getaways, private safaris and ‘family friendly’ packages. There are 10 different bush and river lodges to choose from on Balule, and one tented camp.
