Beach Horse Trails at Papiesfontein, Jeffrey’s Bay

Papiesfontein offers 2 hour horse trails across beach, dune and fynbos areas on the Papiesfontein farm between the Gamtoos and Kabeljous River mouths, just 10km from Jeffrey’s Bay and 70km from Port Elizabeth.

An outstanding feature of these horse trails is a 6km stretch of deserted beach and dune, where riders can canter or gallops their horses.

A seasonal bonus on the rides is whale-watching, and at all times of year you may see seals and bushbuck in addition to guaranteed sightings of a number of coastal bird species.

All levels of experience can be accommodated, as can children by prior arrangement.
