Audiences will be transported from a joyous Christmas Eve ball into a magical world of dancing snowflakes, the Kingdom of Sweets, and an unforgettable adventure. Follow the courageous Nutcracker Prince as he battles to save his princess in a production filled with dazzling choreography, breathtaking costumes, and the timeless melodies of Tchaikovsky. From the iconic “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” to the lively “Waltz of the Flowers,” every scene is a visual and auditory masterpiece.
This mesmerizing ballet is staged by renowned London-based choreographer Maina Gielgud, with stunning sets designed by the acclaimed Michael Mitchell.
Gielgud’s extensive experience includes performances with esteemed companies such as Sadler’s Wells Royal Ballet, Scottish Ballet, Australian Ballet, Ballet Nacional de Cuba, CAPAB, PACT, and the London Festival Ballet. She has also served as director or associate director for the Australian Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, and Houston Ballet. Meanwhile, Mitchell’s exquisite designs have graced productions like Madama Butterfly, Carmen, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Magic Flute, Porgy and Bess, and Mandela Trilogy, captivating audiences at prestigious venues including the London Coliseum, Teatro Real Madrid, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, and the Maifestspiele in Wiesbaden.
