The Plett Arts Festival returns to Plettenberg Bay from 3 to 13 October 2025, and the Plett Arts Association is taking centre stage with “Brush Strokes and Beyond”, a week-long exhibition and series of workshops at the Piesang Valley Community Hall.
Opening on Friday, 3 October, the exhibition brings together a vibrant mix of local talent, from seasoned professionals to passionate amateurs, showcasing an inspiring collection of paintings, drawings, and mixed media works. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the region’s creative spirit while knowing that 10% of all art sales will be donated to Hospice Plett (PlettAid Foundation).

The experience extends beyond viewing, offering hands-on workshops and live demonstrations for all ages. Young artists can dive into children’s art workshops, while adults and curious beginners can explore wet felting, turning wool into fabric, or experiment with shape and texture in the clay workshop. Art enthusiasts can also watch as Gary Davis recreates his acclaimed charcoal drawing of a lion’s side profile, originally completed over several months and now part of a private collection in Germany. During the official opening, visitors are invited to sign the artwork, making the piece a truly collaborative festival highlight.
Adding to the excitement, a raffle in support of Hospice Plett will run throughout the week, featuring prizes generously donated by local businesses and creatives. Looking for the event details? Go Here
