Bukela Lodge located is a safari lodge within the malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve, located near Paterson, just 20 minutes from Grahamstown.
Guests will be treated to all the comforts and luxuries a 5 star establishment has to offer. The lodge offers a spacious lounge and dining area, where fine dining is a promise, with a central fireplace for those chilly winter evenings. On warmer days, feast on a delectable breakfast on the terrace next to the sparkling pool, which overlooks a dam frequented by thirsty buffalo. A TV is available with DSTV and the lodge also offers wedding and conference facilities.
A mammoth area is reserved for wildlife in their natural habitat and visitors can enjoy guided tours and hikes through the lush bushveld, home to so many species of fauna and flora. Grahamstown, ‘The City of Saints’ is a short drive away where visitors can immerse themselves in the history of this beautiful town and surrounding area.
The intimate lodge offers 4 suites accommodating 2 people each. Spacious and elegantly decorated in glorious African chic, each suite is situated away from the main lodge along wooden walkways and through indigenous bush. Each twin or king suite boasts a central fireplace, under floor heating, air conditioning, private terrace, bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

Directions: Follow the N2 from Port Elizabeth to Grahamstom (+- 70km). Turn RIGHT onto the R342 to Alexandria (Karl Landman Monument). DO NOT take the R342 Left to Paterson. The right hand turn onto the R342 is exactly 3km further down the N2. Go through the security gate. Follow signs to Bukela Game lodge (+- 7.5Km turn right).
