Set deep in a gorgeous valley with the beautifully rugged sandstone formations of the Cederberg on either side, Algeria is the quintessential Cederberg hideaway.
Relax in shaded campsites situated next to the gentle-flowing stream and swim in the most crystal-clear pool you could imagine – the perfect ways to enjoy the incredible Cederberg experience. The campsite is also the starting point for many hiking trails in the area.
Getting there: from Cape Town, take the N7 going north to Citrusdal. Approximately 26 km past Citrusdal turn right at the Algeria turnoff and follow the road into the Cederberg and down into Algeria at the bottom of the valley.
