Sanddrif is perhaps the ideal location from which to experience some of the Cederberg’s most celebrated attractions – the Wolfberg cracks, the Maltese cross and Sneeuberg, the highest peak in the Cederberg. Hikes to these attractions are very popular and most begin at the Sanddrif campsite itself.

Getting there: from Cape Town, take the N7 towards Citrusdal. Continue along this road until coming to the Algeria turn off approximately 26km after Citrusdal. Take the turnoff and follow the road over the Niewoudts Pass to Algeria. From Algeria, take the Uitkyk Pass road and follow for approximately 46km to Sanddrif, which you will see on your left-hand side.
