Cape Point Vineyards is unique in the world because of its location on the Cape Peninsula between two different oceans – the icy Atlantic and the warm False Bay currents from the Indian Ocean. The estate lies on the slopes of Chapman’s Peak adjacent to the Table Mountain National Park in Noordhoek – spectacular vistas of the indigenous fynbos with mountain and sea views meet the eye at every turn.

The first 30000 vines on the estate were registered for excise tax in 1752. The vines were replanted by the present owner in 1998. The superb terroir and the sea breezes combined with an intense focus on classical production methods have created many award winning wines. In fact Cape Point Vineyards has produced more 5 star ratings in the past 5 years from Platter’s South African Wines than any other estate as well as being recognised as the World Winery of the Year in 2008.

Visit their wine-tasting venue at Chapmans Peak Estate and take in the spectacular scenery on this special estate. Wine tasting at the following times:

Mondays – Fridays: 09:00 – 17:00,

Saturdays: 10:00 – 17:00,

Sundays: 10:00 – 16:00,

Closed: 25 December, 1 January and Good Friday
