The versatile actor and singer, Reynardt Hugo released his first solo single, Die Rivier, earlier in 2020 and it exceeded everyone’s expectations!
His next single, Diep Binne My, has just been released and everyone is already conversing about thìs inspiring pop-song.
“The song is about two people in a relationship, facing difficult times and coming to a crossroad, having to decide whether they should continue with the relationship or call it quits,” says Reynardt.
Reynardt and Sean Butler wrote the song. Reynardt expresses that the song means a lot to him, as he found himself in a very similar situation. “I had to decide whether I wanted to change my life around, ask for forgiveness, and to better myself – to reach a place of truth. It is not always easy, it is a difficult road, but definitely worth it. I think old and young will enjoy this song, as it will have a different meaning to each and everyone,” he adds.
Reynardt is a popular actor, musician, songwriter, motivational speaker, and writer. He was previously part of the group ADAM and is currently on kykNET’s Binnelanders. He has also been part of various theatre productions and is regularly the Master of Ceremonies at functions.
Due to the lockdown, Reynardt and the love of his life, An-Maré Roothman, had to postpone their wedding, but they are currently looking at new dates and arrangements. He is also busy writing a book about his life, which will be published by NB Publishers early in 2021.
