Dome Adventures is based in Venterskroon, 30km south of Potchefstroom on the banks of the Vaal River. They offer adventure activities tours in the Vredefort Dome.
Tours offered include geological guided walking tours of the vredefort dome, abseiling on various cliff faces with varying difficulty, hikes and walks of varying lengths up to two-day trails, coanoeing on flat water at ‘base camp’ in Venterskroon or downstream toward Parys, white-water river rafting and angling.
Dome Adventures also put together adventure packages made with combinations of the above offerings.
Getting to Venterskroon: Take the R53 south from Potchefstroom.
