Between Mid-June and Mid-September, the winter rains turn the Doring River in the Northern Cederberg into an exhilarating rush for white water rafting. And to top it all, the surrounding scenery is magnificent, with overhang caves that remain a showcase of San Art, and in spring, the area is carpeted with the famous Namaqualand flowers.
It is exciting….stimulating…..and an adventure you will never forget!! The perfect venue for a great weekend of white-water rafting! Being a mere 3 hours from Cape Town (approximately 280km), the Doring River provides an exciting weekend getaway within comfortable driving distance. This is a winter river, flowing strongly through the Cederberg Mountain region.
