Negotiate rocks and natural obstacles along this 16-km route as you ascend into the upper reaches of the Elandsberg. The route to the summit winds through fynbos, rooibos tea plantations and oat fields. From the summit, the route traverses a ridge affording magnificent views of the Cederberg region.
This route is intermediate to difficult. It starts at the Elandsberg Eco Tourism Office and is a circular trip. Ablutions at start.
From the N7 take the turn-off for Clanwilliam and Lambert’s Bay. At the t-junction turn left towards Lambert’s Bay on the R364. Drive for 13 km. then turn right at Skurfkop sign and follow gravel road for 3 km. Turn left at Elandsberg Eco Tourism sign. Follow farm road for ± 3 km.
