There are five well-stocked dams and a 2km stretch of the Dorps River available for excellent trout fishing at Trout River Falls on the farm Klipsteen.
The farm is beautiful and ‘non-fishing’ guests, including wife and ‘not interested in fishing with dad kids’ will be kept busy exploring the farm.
There are beautiful indigenous mountain forests, walking and hiking trails, excellent birding and of course the stunning centre-piece – the Trout River Waterfall which invites a picnic and a dip in a malaria and bilharzia free river.
4 star chalets are available.
Getting there: Trout River Falls (the farm Klipsteen on Google Maps) is situated on the R540 between Dullstroom and Lydenburg – 30km north-east from Dullstroom and 22km south-west of Lydenburg.
