Additional Information: The festival features renowned world champions participating in the Leatherback Rum Surfski Challenge, including Hank McGregor, Kenny Rice, and Michelle Burn. With a prize money of R50,000, this event is the most lucrative surfski competition in the province. Aliwal Shoal, one of South Africa’s 41 Marine Protected Areas and recognized as one of the world’s top 10 dive sites by Jacques Cousteau, is also included in the surfski challenge.
