Hennops River 4x4 Trail, Hartbeespoort Dam AreaThis trail offers an obstacle course in a picturesque setting of rugged and rocky terrain.

The 9km trail features some really challenging rocky ascents and descents, water crossings, axle twisters and wheel traction.

There are escape routes, so you can suit your route to your skill. The trail is 2-3 hours, but you can stay all day, repeating obstacles till you get it just right.

Don’t wipe out the wildlife, as zebra, wildebeest and other such wanderers may surprise you. You may even see a Zonkie. There is a picnic area along the route with a lapa. Not more than 20 vehicles allowed.

For those that are seeking a new challenge at Hennops, the Klipdrift route is open to public by prior arrangement only and for groups of 4 or more vehicles.

For non 4×4 enthusiasts, try your hand at the MTB or hiking trails.

From the N14, take the R511 towards the Hartbeespoort Dam, and after 11km you should reach the entrance to Hennops Pride on your left, very soon after crossing the Hennops River bridge.
