Steal these easy ideas to give your bathroom a fresh new look
1. Paint bland walls
A colourful coat of paint can take a mundane bathroom from bland to brilliant without changing any fittings. Paint bright stripes below an existing dado rail or install one. Stick to a neutral colour for the rest of the wall to counteract the busy pattern. Decor by Nicola Rossouw of House Couture.
2. Hang art
Give your bathroom a lived-in feel by hanging a framed print above the bath. Make sure the artwork is framed properly so that it’s not affected by moisture.
3. Update vanity door handles

4. Add his and hers mirrors

5. Create a pamper zone

6. Install a hand shower

7. Add furnishing

11. Add task lighting and shelves

12. Do away with shower doors
Enhance the sense of space by doing away with shower enclosures and trays and turning your bathroom into a wet room. Make sure the floor slopes towards a drain.
13. Clad the bath
