Just Country Self-catering House is situated in Chrissiesmeer, a quaint hamlet in the “Lake District” of the province of Mpumalanga.
The house has a large lounge with a fireplace where visitors can relax. There is also a family sitting area and dining room. Meals are available by prior arrangement. An outside braai facility can be used and onsite parking is available. Just Country also has a washing machine and tumble dryer for use by visitors.
Fly fishing can be enjoyed in one of the many lakes, dams or rivers in the area. Lloyd Safari’s offers hunting packages with a professional hunter. Visit the attraction known as ‘The Giant Footprint’, an aged footprint embedded in a rock. Pack a picnic or prepare for a braai and enjoy a day at McCorkindale’s Cave. Lake Chrissie offers activities like canoeing, windsurfing or rowing boats which visitors need to provide themselves. Other activities include 4×4 routes at the Holnek Reserve, hiking, birding or simply relaxing.
Various activities are available on the farm including trout fishing, swing ball and other board games. Arrange for a picnic basket and feast under trees in nature. Classes for arts and crafts are also offered. Enjoy a reflecting stroll through the labyrinth on the farm. Alternatively, there are hikes and 4×4 trails to be enjoyed. Attractions of a cultural and historical nature are a must see. Visit the lookout points to see the Blyde River Canyon.
Accommodation comprises of 4 queen rooms and 1 double room. Ablutions consist of 1 bath, 3 showers and 3 toilets. The house has a fully equipped kitchen for self catering purposes and is serviced daily. Linen and bath towels are provided.
Just Country is 2 hours from Johannesburg travelling on the N17, 160km from Nelspruit and 4hrs from Maputo.
