Karongwe in the Valley of the Olifants Region of the Limpopo Province is the location of the Karongwe Private Game Reserve. Karongwe is situated virtually at the foot of the north-eastern tip of the Drakensberg Escarpment, in sub-tropical bushland area with hot summers, very mild winters and high rainfall, and offers excellent game viewing, diverse privately owned game lodge accommodation in lush green surrounds, and stunning views of the mountains.
Getting there: Karongwe is situated 63km south of Tzaneen on the R36.
