Kelkiewyn Farm Stall Villiersdorp

The Kelkiewyn Farm Stall in Villiersdorp is beautifully set alongside the Elands River with indoor and outdoor seating on the banks of the river. When opened in 1922, the farm stall was famous for “moskonfyt” – a grape must jam.

Villiersdorp CellarsToday, the farm stall still has moskonfyt, dried fruit, deli products, jams and home bake, but is also the wine tasting venue for Villiersdorp Cellars, the most recent discovery of wine connoisseurs, with exceptional value for money wines, produced in this beautiful valley of Splendour. The climatic condition of the area is the cornerstone of the excellent grape production on different terroirs, enabling the cellar to bring forth several styles of wine to suit every taste.

Taste the cellar’s complete range of wines in an informal and relaxed environment, where you can also view a complete range of bar accessories. The tasting room is open 6 days a week: from 08h00 to 17h00 on weekdays and from 08h00 to 15h00 on Saturdays.

The recently renovated farm stall now proudly hosts a restaurant run by well-known Chef, Neil Pyper. Besides tasty light meals, the restaurant also serves delicious traditional “slow food”. The restaurant is open seven days a week: from 08h00 to 17h00 on weekdays and from 08h00 to 15h00 on Saturdays and Sundays. The restaurant also caters for smaller functions such as birthdays and year-end functions.

Kelkiewyn Farm Stall Villiersdorp Tractor MuseumRecently, the Villiersdorp Veteran Tractor and Engine Club was offered premises next to the restaurant, where they now display about 40 old tractors, each one in pristine working condition. There is even a tractor for the children to play on. Just ask for the museum keys at the restaurant.
