Ron Gold is an accredited tourist guide with Kwazulu-Natal tourism and, over the past 10 years, has established a series of specialised tours in three major areas of interest in Kwazulu-Natal.
These areas include the historical Battlefield Route, which incorporates war sites from both the Anglo-Boer and Anglo-Zulu wars. The Drakensberg, famed for its spectacular cascading buttresses and San rock art, is also on the list, as is the heart of the Kwazulu-Natal countryside, the hidden valley in the Mooi River district of the Midlands Meander.
Ron is one of the pioneering members of the Midlands Meander Association. Having spent most of his life here, he has acquired an intimate knowldege of the local isiZulu people, and has development a fervent interest for the rich history and beauty of the area.
