Landskroon Wine Estate has a long history going back to 1689 when the French Huguenots landed in the Cape. The farm has been in the de Villiers family for 5 generations and is today run by 5 brothers, the present winemaker being Paul de Villiers.
The 300Ha estate is located on the South Western slopes of Paarl Mountain in the heart of the Cape Winelands about 40Km from Cape Town. In 2000 a major upgrade of the cellar began with the expansion of the red wine fermentation facilities followed by the establishment of new barrel maturation and bottle storage cellars.
There is an attractive cottage on the estate that sleeps 4. Picnics can be arranged by appointment. The wine tasting room is open at the following times:
Mon to Friday – 8h300 to 17h00
Sat – 9h00 to 13h00
Sundays – closed
Closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
