The Gary Player designed Leopard Creek Golf Course is situated near Malelane in the heart of Mpumalanga, overlooking the Kruger National Park. Rated as one of the top courses in South Africa and designed to blend in with the landscape, the course is a favourite spot for over 200 bird species and wildlife.
The living areas and course are naturally protected from animals by innovative architecture and design. Small streams have been diverted through the development to create scenic vistas and very different golf strategies. Golfing hazards on this 18 hole course take on a new dimension for much of the water is home to families of hippos and crocodiles.
Sightings of wildlife are commonplace, either on the course itself or in or next to the river running alongside several holes.
