Letaba Rest Camp, Kruger National Park

The sweeping Letaba River in the Kruger National ParkLetaba Rest Camp is situated on a sweeping bend of the Letaba River in the central section of the Kruger National Park. Meaning ‘river of sand’, this sandy river bed provides a favourite environment for elephant, which thrive in this oasis all year round.

The camp marks the mid-way point between the southern and northern boundaries of the park, and is a convenient rest stop for those travelling the length of the park’s boundaries. The oasis that the Letaba river provides in this mopaneveld region makes for some great game-viewing. The camp is also a great base from which to experience the best of both worlds in the Kruger: the game-rich thornveld of the southern region and the vast plains of the mopaneveld in the northern regions, home to the majority of the park’s predators…Bookings and info
