There are not many restaurants at which booking is REALLY essential. They have to be extra special, like Marianas Deli in Stanford is…
Winner of Eat-Out’s ‘Best Country Kitchen ‘ and receiving top ratings in the Rossouw food guide, three years in a row, Marianas Cape cuisine, with French and Italian influences, has brought slow lunches back to their rightful place.

With shabby chic décor, a beautiful setting in a Victorian country cottage with views over the mountains, Klein River and vegetable gardens, Marianas has an ambiance of charm and warm hospitality….and all this started because of an overly successful veggie garden!
Mariana and Peter Esterhuizen could never use the extra produce, so they started a restaurant, built around the fresh produce from their garden and the area, supporting local farmers, vineyards and fishermen.
This philosophy is the very foundation of the mouth-watering dishes you will experience. All the food in the restaurant and deli is made from scratch, the pasta, bread, sauces and pickles, chicken pies, gruyere soufflés and lamb shank….. breakfast is also a treat, and all meals are graciously served by Peter.

In summer, the lighter menu, and in winter, the body warming sustenance to keep the cold at bay, especially with that glass of wine. Take cash so that you can stock up – there are no credit card facilities.

Hi Santie, you will need to get in touch with the restaurant or call Stanford Village; we have no direct connection to the restaurant.
