Mkulu Kei Horse Trails is the Wild Coast’s premier horseback riding and horseback adventure trails operator. Established in 1998, the company now has over seventy trained horses to cater for differing riding abilities.

Situated just outside the Wild Coast seaside village of Morgan Bay, Mkulu Kei offers relaxing day-rides and out-rides along the beach, as well as overnight horse-riding holidays ranging from two to twelve days. Mkulu Kei operates from Cher-a-Don farm, which offers children’s pony camps and a team-building adventure centre. The farm is also home to a world-class tack-shop.

Mkulu Kei has won various tourism Awards of Excellence in the Eastern Cape which gives the visitor a clear indication as to what to expect on during their stay on the magnificent Wild Coast.

Getting there: Take the N2 eastwards from East London towards Mthatha (Umtata). +-32km turn right at R349 Mooiplaas (Blue Water, Haga Haga, Kei Mouth signs), follow tar road, Morgan Bay, and Kei Mouth signs. Pass Mkulu Kei horse stud, continue +- 6 kms, just after buses, pink plane and train (You can’t miss the huge pink aeroplane on the side of the road). Turn right following signs to Morgan Bay. Take the second driveway on the left.
