The Molemane Eye Nature Reserve near Mafikeng and Lichtenburg in the North West Province offers a perfect weekend break with fishing, camping, hikes and walks.
The Reserve is currently under development in order to improve and diversify accommodation, including tented camp units on the edge of the ‘eye’ – the eye being a natural spring with crystal clear water that offers great fishing.
Various antelope species can be seen and the area is wooded and leafy, offering plenty of shade, rest and relaxation – a perfect camping spot.
Getting there: The Molemane Eye Nature Reserve is situated just off the R505 north of Lichtenburg.
