Spoil your mom this year with a choice of two feasts as Boardwalk hotel rolls out the red carpet for Mother’s Day.
A choice of two menus awaits, at either Bayside Pantry inside the casino (no under 18s) or a spitbraai at Kipling’s Brasserie inside the hotel.
Kick off your Bayside Pantry traditional Sunday lunch with a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic welcome drink, followed by salads, a carvery station of roast beef and chicken, hot dishes including baked line fish with lemon and shrimp sauce, chicken vindaloo, lamb madras curry and mélange vegetables. The dessert station offers chocolate brownies, malva pudding, velvet cake and orange and lavender meringue pie.
A South African special, the Kipling’s Brasserie spitbraai offers starters including Mediterranean vegetable salad, chefs garden salad, Waldorf salad, a bread station, followed by the main attraction of whole lamb BBQ on the spit, served with mint jus and mushroom sauce, beef, seafood and chicken potjiekos, pap and smoor, and samp and beans. Dessert is Cape Malay bread and butter pudding with custard, strawberry cheesecake and red velvet cake.
