The Sabie area is often said to be the one destination in South Africa that is capable of hosting a world championship mountain biking event. Sabie is home to the world’s largest man-made forest, making it the ideal location for some of the most spectacular and exhilirating mountain biking in the country.

There are six circular trails that depart from Castle Rock campsite in Sabie. The trails rate from easy to intermediate, depending on distances chosen, which range from 13km to 45km. Getting there: from Gauteng, take the N4 going East into Mpumalanga. Continue along the N4 to Nelspruit. Here, take the R537 going North to Sabie. At Sabie, follow the signs to Merry Pebbles resort and Castle Rock campsite. All trails begin from here.
