This impressive game reserve between the Mzimkhulu and Mzimkhulwana Rivers has some 27km of game roads, winding through four different eco-systems.
Cyclists will have the unique opportunity to view game such as giraffe, blue duiker, eland, blesbuck, wildebeest and bushbuck. The scenic ride overlooking the Hell’s Gate entrance is particularly enjoyable. Opportunities for other rides include gentle, scenic gorge view rides as well as strenuous Dunstone’s Pass, which is set deep in the valley.

Getting there: Take the N2 from Port Shepstone and travel 10km along the Kokstad road. Turn right at the Oribi Flats East sign. This is the road to the Lake Eland Game Reserve. When the tar ends there is 8km of well-maintained dirt road to the reserve gate.
