Old Kilgrobbin Farm is home to the Horseplay experience, which invites guests to spend a morning playing with magnificent Fresian horses.
Here, you will be introduced to natural horsemanship, and will acquire the basic knowledge and skills required for interacting with horses on the ground, and not just on their backs. This is a genuine horsewhispering experience, and provides guests with the insight as to how horses respond to body movements and gestures. It is a truly magical experience, and requires no previous knowledge of or interaction with horses.
Experience Horseplay
Getting there: from Durban Take the N3. Take the Howick/Tweedie turnoff. At T junction go right towards Lions River/Balgowan. Go approx 5kms, past Thokans cash store on left, go another 2kms til another T junction to the left called “Dargle / Impendle”. Take Dargle turnoff to the left and go 6kms, past Dargle store (pumpkin coloured shop), down steep hill and up the next hill. At the top you will see the HorsePlay sign and the D17 sign. Turn right into D17. Dirt road. Follow the HorsePlay signs until the top of hill, farm no12, with big stone pillars and wall.
