We at the Outeniqua Moon have dedicated ourselves to their survival, and we are passionate about sharing our love for them, and creating awareness about the challenges they face in our modern world.
We offer carriage drives on the farm, with unforgettable views of the mountains, where you can experience and enjoy a bygone age of horse-drawn transport. We also offer educational tours, in which we share our knowledge of these magnificent animals, and talk about the plight that heavy draft horses are facing now.
Outeniqua Moon is home to Shadowfax, the biggest Percheron ever bred in South Africa, standing at 18.3 hands high at only 3 and a half years old.
We serve tea and home-made cake, delicious light lunches and Sunday lunches on the farm, and we also have the facilities to entertain the kids for hours.
