Rhebokskloof’s history goes back to the late 17th century when Petrus van der Merwe built his home on Rhebokskloof Farm in the Paarl area. Over the years the farm had been split up many times and the Manor House had fallen into disrepair. However, the farm was purchased by a group of business people in 1986 who then proceeded to buy back the smaller farms. The original Cape Dutch house has subsequently been restored to its former glory.
Apart from producing award winning wines the estate has many attractions and superb facilities. There is a choice of restaurants to suit all tastes and occasions on the estate as well as function rooms and a Bedouin tent to cater for 80 to 300 people. The estate is one of the most popular business function venues near Cape Town as well as being a popular wedding and special celebration venue of note.
The wines have won numerous awards including gold from Michelangelo and the Syrah du Monde competition in France and can be tasted in the beautiful tasting room.
