Montagu is a beautiful town in South Africa, enfolded in mountains that are ideal for rock climbing. Combine this with excellent year round weather and only a two hour drive from Cape Town, it is easy to see why Montagu is the most developed sport climbing area in the Western Cape, if not the country. There are over 300 sports routes of all ranges of difficulty including +/-400 Single Pitch & a good few Multi-Pitch Sport Routes.

Montagu has become one of the ten climbing “hot spots” worldwide and every year sees an increase in overseas visitors to the beautiful Montagu mountains. The mountains have a unique rock face that excites even the most jaded climber.
