Whale Watching – June to October

The Romonza was awarded a boat based whale watching permit in 2006, the only holder in Mossel Bay. Depart from the comfortable working harbour to observe the greatest mammal close-up. Trips are offered twice daily and we carry up to 50 persons. A special qualified Theta whale guide will be on board during every trip and sightings are guaranteed. Added Value! – includes a free ticket for a trip around Seal Island with 3000 seals. Most affordable rates.

Sunset Cruises

Relaxed and romantic 1½ – 2 hr cruises around Seal Island and the Bay, the Point, Hartenbos, Diaz Beach, De Bakke and Santo’s beaches. Picnic baskets welcome.

Eco Marine Safaris

Leave our comfortable harbour on a 1½ – 2 hr trip in the Bay, go around the Point to see the caves and the lighthouse from the sea. Cruise across the Bay to the Hartenbos river mouth, from there along the coastline to Seal Island. On these trips we have experienced very rare sightings of killer whales (Orcas), great white sharks, dolphins (bottlenose and humpback), African penguins, sub Antarctic skuas, cormorants, gannets and the endangered black Oystercatcher.
