Silver Lakes Golf Course is situated on an upmarket housing estate in Lynnwood about 20 Km east of Pretoria. The course is an oasis in the African bushveld and its abundance of water makes for some interesting challenges. Generous practice facilities offer a large tee area, chipping green, practice bunker and target greens as well as a 1200sqm USGA spec putting green on the edge of the lake surrounding the 9th and 18th greens.
This championship layout was designed by the well known Peter Matkovitch and the water hazards are a significant presence on 10 of the 18 holes of this high quality course. There is no doubt that this is one of the best courses in the area of Tshwane.
The substantial clubhouse provides all the facilities one could wish for – bar, function facilities, pro shop, restaurant and a beautiful patio overlooking the lake and the practice area. Golf carts, a driving range and golf club hire are available.
