Sirheni Bushveld Camp is an oasis on the Mphongolo River in the northern section of the Kruger National Park. Nestled gently under an undisturbed canopy of jackalberry and leadwood trees, typical of the mopane veld of this section of the park, the camp offers visitors a genuine bushveld hideaway.
The idea of a bushveld camp is to truly immerse yourself in the splendour and majesty of the African bush. With fewer, more spacious sites and fewer ammenities than the larger camps, bushveld camps are there to offer you your own private piece of bushveld freedom.
Sirheni is one of the best places to soak up the silence in this astounding section of the park, with two hides situated right on the river. Getting there: From Gauteng, take the N1 to Polokwane (Pietersburg). At Makhado (Louis Trichard) link up with the R524 and follow this route for ±140 km. That will take you to the gate. Allow between 5 to 6 hours for the trip to the gate. Sirheni Bushveld Camp is 54km away from the gate. Allow about 2 hours for the drive to the camp.
