TC Robertson Nature Reserve, Scottburgh, Umdoni Coast, KwaZulu-NatalThe TC Robertson Nature Reserve lies just outside Scottburgh on the Umdoni Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. There are about 12km of nature trails from where you can view the abundant bird and animal life. There are over 200 species of birds in the reserve and the strategically placed hide will allow bird watchers to view aquatic and terrestrial birds. You will also come across monkeys and small buck.

The Mpambinyoni River flows through the reserve which encompasses a diversity of eco systems – coastal forest, coastal grasslands, wetlands, palmveld, thornveld as well as estuarine and riverine systems. It is this diversity that offers visitors a unique nature experience.

There are numerous picnic and braai spots in the reserve making it ideal for family outings.

The reserve is only 60km from Durban and together with a visit to Scottburgh, makes an ideal day trip from the city. Read more
