Tellinger’s Stone Circle Museum in Waterval Boven displays many of the ancient items found within and near the Adam’s Calendar site and many other related sites in Mpumalanga. The museum, which also includes a bistro, bar and bookshop has been created as meeting point for open-minded ‘new age’ thinkers – people who are prepared to put away what they learned about human history and various other things that we are taught cannot possibly be or do not exist (such as aliens- yup that too). The inspiration of course is the fascinating discoveries made in the area since the 2003 plane crash that revealed the 200 000 year old ‘man-made’ stone circle in nearby Kaapsehoop – now named Adam’s Calendar.
Guided tours to Adam’s Calendar leave from the Stone Circle Bistro and Museum, and the venue holds regular talks and events.
Whatever you are open to – the Bistro is a great place to eat and simply sit, take in the beautiful views of the Elands River and think about things.
