The Bushman’s River Canoe Trail is a self-guided 2 day 26km trail up the Bushmans River from Kenton-on-Sea and back to the Kenton Marina .
The canoe trail is a leisurely but sufficiently testing 13km’s each way, but the prize at the end – basic wooden hut accommodation in the bush complete with a jetmaster braai, will pale in comparison to the journey upriver. The river borders the Kariega Game Reserve and previous paddlers have spotted lions and elephant on their journey in addition to plenty of birdlife and game.
The overnight hut sleeps 11 people. All supplies and bedding must be brought, but there is an option to have your things transported to the overnight hut ahead of you.
