Imagine a dedicated preserve for African Wildlife, for Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Rhino, Hippo, Antelope by the hundreds of thousands, Buffalo in thundering masses… and many more species besides – a Game Reserve the size of Belgium.
That is the The Kruger National Park.
The southern section of the Kruger National Park is the original Kruger Park and covers a vast area of the Mpumalanaga Lowveld. This section can be accessed via the following gates in Mpumalanga:
The Crocodile River Gate on the Mozambique Border – via Nelspruit.
The Numbi Gate – via Nelspruit and White River.
The Malelane Gate – via Nelspruit – between Nelspruit and Hectorspruit.
The Paul Kruger Gate – via Nelspruit or Lydenburg to Hazyview.
See the detailed write up on Kruger here and visit ShowMe Nelspruit for information about the area.
