The Weaver’s Song is a single rondawel located outside of Wakkerstroom, on a working farm in Mpumalanga.
The rondawel is situated on a working farm. Although rates are based on self catering, all meals can be included by prior arrangement. The living area offers comfortable couches. There is an outside patio with braai area offering views of the garden and mountains. An outside playground and jungle gym is entertainment for children. There is a hospitality bar and parking available on the premises.
Activities in and around the area include river and dam fishing, hiking through nature reserves and strolling around the farm. Bird watching is also enjoyed or visits to the Bird Sanctuary in town. There are quad bike and 4×4 trails in the area. Pack a picnic basket and find a lookout point with views of dams, rivers and mountains. The Kruger National Park is ideal for Big 5 and other animal lovers.
Accommodation is a thatched rondawel with 2 single beds and a bathroom. Modern finishes are offered in the fully equipped self catering kitchenette. Complimentary tea and coffee is available and all linen and towels are provided.
From Vryheid, take R33 en route to Paulpietersburg for 40 km. Turn left at the Kempslust turn-off and drive for approximately 27 km. Turn right on the D699 for about 10 km, then turn right at the Wakkerstroom/ Luneburg T-junction. Travel for about 5 km until you see The Weaver’s Song turn-off on the right-hand side.
From Wakkerstroom, drive through Wakkerstroom on the main road towards Piet Retief. Just as you exit Wakkerstroom, turn right at the Utrecht Road and continue for approximately 6 km. The road becomes a dirt road up the mountain. Turn left at the first Paulpietersburg Road. Drive for approximately 48 km, taking no turn-offs. The road goes down the mountain with beautiful views. The Weaver’s Song will be on your right-hand side.
