Robin Antin’s Pussycat Dolls Workout
Who: Senior designer Molebogeng Mautloa
What: There’s nothing better than singing along breathlessly to a cool track while you burn fat. The work-out includes a burlesque-inspired routine so you get to learn sexy dance moves that you can use on your man.
Props: A feather boa.
Pros: As much fun as it was learning all the moves, I definitely felt the burn in my legs and stomach. I also noticed a bit of toning going on in my thighs and upper arms.
Cons: I realised I have two left feet but with practise I eventually nailed the moves.

Carmen Electra’s
Aerobic Striptease
Who: Subeditor Linda Piegl
What: As the DVD started, an injury disclaimer popped up followed by Carmen warning that selecting the right chair was vital. I was a bit worried, but luckily the routine was pretty simple.
Props: A reliable chair with a low back! Turns out, one move requires you to swing your leg over the back of the chair while sitting. Carmen wasn’t kidding – choose your chair wisely!
Pros: There are many repetitions to help you remember the sequence.
Cons: Some moves required previous dance experience, plus a good dose of coordination and balance.

The Tracy Anderson Method Dance Cardio Workout
Who: Health and beauty editor Pippa Alcock
What: Trainer to stars like Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, Tracy Anderson’s video is dance-based with lots of jumping, twisting and direction changes.
Props: An exercise mat and dumb-bells.
Pros: She’s not too peppy, doesn’t babble and the arm toning section is a killer. I saw results fast.
Cons: Aside from breaking a vase, the moves are so fast, I only picked them up after repeated viewing, but like Tracy says: “Don’t over-think it, just get in your zone and you’ll be done before you know it.”

Kim Kardashian Fit in Your Jeans by Friday

What: An A-list step class hosted by the bootylicious reality star starts off easy enough, but before you know it, you’re working up a real sweat.
Kim incorporates a few tricky mambo and cha-cha-cha moves designed to tone your legs and butt in between all the “woo hoos!” and “alrights!”
Props: All you need is a low step, lots of lycra and a bouncy ponytail.
