he 900ha Witbank Nature Reserve on the outskirts of Witbank consists of grassland, wetland and woodland areas, and is home to several species of antelope including Eland, Wildebeest, Kudu, Waterbuck, Impala and Springbok.
Other animals include zebra and hyenas and there is at least one leopard you may be lucky to spot!
There are also many species of birds, which can be viewed from bird hides and picnic spots.
An Environmental Education Centre conducts educational tours and projects with schoolchildren and other groups.
The Witbank Nature Reserve is open to day visitors.

Getting there: The Witbank Nature Reserve is located on the eastern outskirts of the town, bordering the Witbank Dam.
