
Wolseley is a pretty town surrounded by the Waaihoek, Witzen and Waterfall mountains and is unique in that access to the town is via any one of four splendid passes which makes for a great road trip – Du Toitskloof Pass, Bainskloof Pass, Nuwekloof Pass and Mitchells Pass.
Wolseley is central to the very popular fruit and wine area of the Witzenberg Valley and is ideal as a base from which to explore the area.
Farming is the mainstay of the area, with excellent fruit, vegetables, wine, olives, wheat, meat and dairy products produced here.
With biking routes Kluitjieskraal and Eselfontien, historic sites, art galleries, potters, crafters, excellent wine tasting route, restaurants and accommodation establishments, Wolseley makes a great weekend getaway.
Direction to Wolseley: Travel along the N1 towards Paarl and the Huguenot Tunnel to Worcester. Just before the Shell Ultra City garage, turn left on the R43 to Ceres; at the T-junction turn right onto the R301 to Wolseley.
