Woza Albert! is a poignant satire that imagines the second coming of Morena during apartheid-era South Africa. Through a series of vignettes, the play exposes the absurdities and cruelties of the apartheid system, using humor and pathos to deliver its powerful message. Created in 1981 by Percy Mtwa, Mbongeni Ngema, and Barney Simon, the play has garnered international acclaim and remains a staple in South African theatre.

The current production continues this legacy, with Dhlamini and Mtsweni delivering world-class performances. The actors use humor, mime, singing, and dance to portray the harsh realities of apartheid in ways that resonate with both youth and older audiences, often receiving standing ovations. Their portrayal of multiple characters showcases the versatility and depth of South African storytelling.

This 90-minute performance, delivered in English, isiZulu, Afrikaans, and isiXhosa, is suitable for audiences aged 13 and above. Please note that the play contains some strong language and brief nudity.
